CMA announced today that in partnership with its long-standing partner Hewlett Packard Company, it had successfully upgraded its own hybrid RTGS+ACH application at the National Bank of Serbia.

It has to be noted that the National Payment System implemented by HP and CMA in the National Bank of Serbia in 2003 had been a great success from the very beginning. Over the years, its well architected services and fee-structure, as well as stable daily operations, allowed the solution to achieve remarkable daily processing volumes and receive recognition from world-renowned financial authorities.< /p>

As a further consequence, rapidly developing payment system created a need for an upgrade of the existing IT system environment and its initial functionality. For this purpose, Hewlett Packard d.o.o. of Belgrade, Serbia and CMA Small Systems AB of Stockholm, Sweden agreed to cooperate and combine their complementary skills and expertise to upgrade the existing RTS/X module – a hybrid solution covering RTGS payments and low-value clearing payments being settled in three cycles, as well as the BCS/X module, which covers cross-border payments in EURO. Both instances utilize the same binary modules but are different in the configurations and parameters.

CMA would like to express its appreciation to the team of the Payment System department of the National Bank of Serbia for continuous commitment to CMA and HP solutions and services and to the staff of Hewlett Packard d.o.o. of Belgrade for its motivation, professionalism and expertise that made this project a success.
