CMA-Agathon RTGS system goes live at the Central Bank of Libya

Central Bank of Libya begins live operations of their new RTGS system
Stockholm, April 1st, 2008. CMA has announced today that the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) have successfully launched their Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system into live production mode. The new system is based on CMA’s RTS/X solution.

Agathon Systems of Libya is the prime contractor with CBL within the National Payment System project, whereas CMA as a sub-contractor, had installed and customized the solution as well as provided training and support during the system implementation.

Current total number of system participants is 6 state banks, at the same time CBL intends to make the system available to all the commercial banks in Libya. Current system configuration consists of five Windows operated business-logic servers and AIX servers working with the Oracle database. Participants are carrying out their operations via private network (SWIFT network is used as a backup solution).

RTS/X also provides interfaces for exchange with General Ledger, Automated Clearing House and Liquidity management systems.

"We are very proud of this achievement" - as per Mr. Alexey Nazarov, MD, CMA Small Systems AB, "- and together with our partner Agathon Systems, we are looking forward to the launch of our Clearing House solution at the CBL within this year."
