Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Clearing system solution (BCS/X)

The new Low Value Payment Clearing and Settlement System (LVPCSS) was put into operation by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) within the scope of the project for modernization of the payment and financial infrastructure. HP Company delivered the hardware system, whereas CMA Small Systems was responsible for the application software. CMA has developed the solution for the Bank on the base of BCS/X - the company's own packaged bulk clearing system. The vendor was chosen according to the results of the tender carried out by NBA under the aegis of the World Bank. The project was accomplished within eight months. The system was launched into live operations on June 25, 2004. In 2007 NBA upgraded hardware platform. The same year CMA provided a new release of PIE 5.0 and ORACLE 10g DBMS.

Status: The system went into live operation in September 2002 according to the project schedule.
